Horseshoe Baltimore makes little headway during a banner month for gambling in Maryland

Compared to double-digit increases elsewhere, the Russell Street casino barely increases its haul from a year ago

Maryland’s six casinos generated $160.4 million in gaming revenues last month, a 23% increase over Covid-ravaged November 2020.

The sole outlier, bucking the trend of robust rising revenue elsewhere, was Baltimore’s Horseshoe Casino.

Revenues at the Russell Street gambling emporium barely budged from a year ago and were a quarter the size of those at Live! Casino & Hotel, its nearest competitor at Arundel Mills.

Here are totals for November 2021, released today by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Agency:

MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County: $67,858,084, up $12,533,240 (22.7%) from November 2020.

Live! Casino & Hotel in Anne Arundel County: $58,196,084, up $13,188,501 (29.3%) from November 2020.

Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore: $15,676,825, up $421,851 (2.8%) from November 2020.

Hollywood Casino in Cecil County: $7,049,361, up $1,170,393 (19.9%) from November 2020.

Ocean Downs Casino in Worcester County: $6,643,046, up $1,547,315 (30.4%) from November 2020.

• Rocky Gap Casino in Allegany County: $4,940,189, up $1,124,811 (29.5%) from November 2020.
